Subsequent to the 2023 Ownership Review the Trustees deemed it appropriate to update and modernise the Trust Deed and make any other amendments that they believed were required. Trustees engaged the assistance of Sainsbury, Logan and Williams and at a Trustee meeting on the 10th June 2024 unanimously passed a resolution adopting the proposed changes.

The trustees then sought the approval of the amendments from the Unison Directors and after discussion and minor changes this was received. In terms of clause 14 of the Trust Deed these proposed amendments are now subject to the Public Consultative Procedure. Details of the proposed changes are set out in the attached summary and the Trust Deed mark up. Public submissions have now closed.
